- Use the following rostering guides for the method you choose:

New for 2025-2026 School Year: We've streamlined our rostering and licensing processes so that the default for all new organizations is that all students who are rostered using any supported method will be automatically assigned program licenses during our system's nightly sync. So students can begin using all licensed programs the day after they are rostered without needing a separate licensing step on your part. Note that not all organizations have auto-licensing activated.
☑ Invite Teachers
After rostering Teachers, Administrators are responsible for sending account activation invitations to those Teachers through our Educator Center. Rostering teachers does not send these emails automatically. Teachers can then activate their accounts by clicking on their unique activation link, just as you did to activate your account.
- You can send these teacher invitations in multiple ways. Click here to learn more.
- After you have sent all account activation emails, you can use this email template to help teachers get started.
- After teachers are using the programs, you can follow up with this email template with support resources.

☑ Distribute and Assign Product Licenses
Every student needs to be assigned licenses to use Age of Learning products. New for the 2025-2026 school year, the default for all new districts is that students added via approved rostering methods will also automatically license rostered students during our nightly sync. Note: Some organizations do not have automatic licensing activated.
Teachers do not need licenses assigned to them, but they do need to have students assigned to their class with valid licenses.
- If you have more than one Administrator, make sure to distribute available licenses to the other Administrators and Teachers.

- Welcome email template to help other Administrators get started.

☑ Set Your Academic Term
Top-level Administrators should set their organization’s Academic Term. This is the start date for the new school term, when your students will start taking Placement Tests for each of our programs. This Placement initiates the tracking of student progress and growth of skills durning the school year. Any previous usage data will be saved, while progress data will reset once placement is completed.
Note: If you haven’t set your academic term, it will automatically reset to a new term on 9/7 to ensure your organization has access to our Mastery AI Assistant (the all-new recommender engine for our adaptive programs). This will clear all data from the previous school year from our systems.
- From the Educator Center, click Accounts > Manage > Academic Term.
- Enter you Next Term Start Date (mm/dd/yyyy) and click Save.

☑ Prepare Your Classroom Devices
Our programs can be accessed on most devices with internet access and an up-to-date web browser (see our minimum technical requirements our School Solution programs and platforms).
We highly suggest using our automatic system checker to quickly test devices and your general network compatibility.
Your organization’s IT team should confirm the network is properly configured to prevent issues accessing program content.
- If students will be using tablets, make sure to uninstall any older, app versions of My Math Academy or My Reading Academy that were previously used. Students will log in to all adaptive Age of Learning programs from our Program Login page.
- If students will be using computers or tablets, consider creating a desktop shortcut for easy access.
