If you’re an Administrator or Teacher who has received an invitation to activate an Age of Learning account and have experienced issues preventing completion, this article will help you complete the necessary account setup — especially if you’re unsure about what your password is or how to log in.
Step 1: Check for the invitation email
You should have received an email from:
Sender: Age of Learning
Email address:
welcome@learn.ageoflearning.comSubject line:
Set up your account
Even though a school or district Admin initiated the invite, you will not see their name in the message. The email comes directly from Age of Learning.
The message includes:
A "Click here" link prompting you to set up within 30 days
A link with a 12-letter activation code (e.g.,
VBWSVZFMRJHK) so you know what the code is in case you need to enter it manuallyA link to request a new link in case the code has expire
Step 2: Click link to begin account setup
- Click either of the first two links in the email (they should go to the same activation form)
Step 3: Complete the account setup form
If your code is valid, the link will open a page like this:https://educate.aofl.com/password/reset/?code=XXXXXXXXXXXX
You’ll be asked to:
Enter your first name
Enter your email address
Create and confirm a new password
Click Submit
✅ This is your account creation step. You are not logging in yet — you're creating your password for the first time.
Your Age of Learning account should now be active and ready to go. We recommend you log in to the Educator Center with your email and password before logging in to any other programs.
Common mistake: Trying to log in before setup is complete
If you skip the setup step and go directly to the main login page athttps://educate.aofl.com/,
you may see errors like:
“Invalid email or password”
“Account not found”
That just means the setup wasn’t completed yet.
🔁 Return to the activation link in your email and complete the form to finish setting up your account.
Tip about the web address:
When trying to activate your account or log in to the Educator Center, if you notice a web address that includes both the words “dashboard” and “code=” (for example, something like educate.aofl.com/dashboard/?code=...), it means you started to sign in but haven’t finished setting up your account yet.
Return to your activation email and click the link that begins withhttps://educate.aofl.com/password/reset/?code=XXXXXXXXXXXX
to complete the setup form and create your password.
What to do if your activation link is expired
If you click the link and see an “expired” or “invalid” message:
Click Link expired? Request a new one here in your email
Once you receive the new invite, follow the same steps above.
Summary: What screen are you seeing?
| You see this… | It means… | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A form asking for name, email, and password | Setup in progress | Fill it out and click Submit. |
| A login screen asking only for email + password | Setup not complete | Return to the activation link in your email. |
| “I don’t know the password” | No password exists yet | Use the activation link to create one. |
Login and Password Sync pop-up and/or Conflicting Account screen
During activation, you may see a Login and Password Sync pop-up if the email you entered already exists on another Age of Learning account (e.g., ABCmouse, Adventure Academy, or a prior school login). If our system confirms a conflict, you’ll be taken to the separate Remove Conflicting Account screen. This is normal. Click here and follow the steps outlined to complete activation—or fix Error 100405 if the sync doesn’t finish.
Additional set-up tips
