Age of Learning QR codes allow students and teachers to log in to programs they are licensed to use without having to remember or enter login credentials. Instead, they can simply hold their Age of Learning QR code up to their device camera to log in automatically, both in school and at home.
Please note that there are three simple conditions that need to be met for QR codes to be generated:
- Students need to be assigned an active license to the program (check that it hasn't expired).
- Students need to be assigned to a Classroom.
- The Classroom needs to have a Teacher assigned.
Students can use the same QR code badge to log in at school and at home, so Teachers may want to print two for each child.

How to Print QR Codes for Students
Note: Teachers and Administrators can generate a QR code for students who have a at least one valid license and have been assigned to a Class with a Teacher.
- Log in to your Educator Center account.
- At the top of your screen, click Accounts, then select Manage and Students from the drop-down.
- You will now be on the Active Students page at https://educate.aofl.com/students/active/. Use the checkboxes to select all the students you want QR codes for (it can be just one). To more quickly select all of your students, click the very top checkbox and choose Select All from the drop-down.
- Click the blue Bulk Actions menu on the right side of your screen.
- Click Generate QR for Login from the drop-down menu.
- You will now see a QR Codes for Login pop-up window. Click the blue Download PDF button to generate the codes.
-
A new browser tab will open showing you the QR codes you requested. If any students are missing it is likely because they do not yet have a valid license assigned.
- Print that page with your students' QR codes as you would print anything else from your computer or device (make sure your printer is connected to your device and turned on). Tip: Students can use the same QR code to log in at school and at home, so we recommend that you print two QR codes for each student: one for school, one for home.
Need a PDF file with the codes? Most print dialog boxes will have an option for you to download a copy of the page as a PDF file. This option may say Save as PDF or something similar depending on your device.

Troubleshooting Common QR Issues
-
Missing Students, Classrooms, or Teachers: You can only generate and download a QR code for students who have a valid license and have been assigned to a class with a teacher. If you try to download a code for an unlicensed (or unassigned) student, your browser will open a new tab but you will not see any QR codes. You will see this message: There are no students that are licensed to supported products, or students are not assigned to any classrooms with teachers associated.

Special Classrooms without Teachers: In some cases, afterschool programs or other non-traditional classrooms may not actually have a specific teacher in charge of the class. Even if that is true for the actual classroom, in our systems, a Teacher (even if that is not an actual teacher in the School) listed in the Educator Center needs to be assigned to the Class in the Educator Center for the licenses to activate and enable QR code generation.
-
Only One Page/PDF: Whether you are generating 1 QR code, 4 codes, or a full classroom full of codes, there will only be 1 webpage (or PDF) that contains all the QR codes for the students you selected.
- Emailing QR Codes to Parents: Teachers sometimes want to email the QR codes to families to facilitate program usage at home. QR codes that have been saved as PDFs can be attached to an email, but you will want to generate the codes one at a time for each student if you are going to email them to parents. If you generate the codes in bulk, you will have one PDF the includes the codes for all the students you selected, which would be confusing and inappropriate to send to families. Even though the codes are labeled with each name, it would be too easy for someone to inadvertently use the wrong one and corrupt your classroom data.
