If you're an Instructional Coach, Specialist, or other support staff member and you're seeing a “Login Error” or a blank screen when trying to access the Educator Center via Clever, ClassLink, or manual login, it’s likely due to how your account is configured in the rostering system.
This article explains why this happens and how to resolve it.
Who typically encounters this?
This issue is most common for users who:
Are not rostered with the role of “Teacher”
Do not have any students assigned to them
Have students, but those students are not licensed for Age of Learning products (e.g., My Math Academy, My Reading Academy, or My Reading Academy Español)
While classroom teachers are automatically granted access based on rostering and student assignment, instructional coaches and other support staff may require additional steps.
What causes the issue?
There are a few possible reasons for this login problem:
1. Your user role is not “Teacher”
Our systems recognize users as educators based on their role in the roster data. If your role is listed as “Instructional Coach,” “Staff,” or something else that is not “Teacher,” the system may block access by default.
2. You don’t have any students assigned to you
Even if your role is set correctly, Educator Center access expects at least one class or group of students assigned to your account in the rostering system.
3. Your data isn’t being shared with Age of Learning
If you use Clever or ClassLink, the relevant class or user data must be explicitly included in the sharing rules configured by your district or school. If your account or classes aren’t part of that shared dataset, you won’t be able to log in.
How to resolve it
There are two ways to enable access, depending on your role and needs:
Option 1: Assign licensed students to your class
If your role allows, ask your Clever or ClassLink administrator to:
Assign at least one student with an active product license to your class
Confirm your class is included in the Clever/ClassLink sharing rules for Age of Learning
This will grant you Educator Center access with a teacher-style dashboard showing only your assigned students.
Option 2: Request an Admin-level login
If you support multiple teachers, classes, or schools and need broader access, we recommend requesting a dedicated Admin login.
Admin logins:
Are created manually by the Age of Learning team
Are not tied to Clever or ClassLink
Provide access to data across multiple classrooms or buildings, depending on your role
To request an Admin login, please contact your Customer Success Manager or email educate@aofl.com and include:
Your full name
Your role
The school(s) or district you support
The type of access you’re requesting
Notes and clarifications
You do not need student licenses to log in to the Educator Center—but if you have no students assigned, your dashboard will likely appear empty.
You do need at least one licensed student to view data for a product (MMA, MRA, MRA-E).
These requirements apply whether you’re logging in via Clever, ClassLink, or manual login.
