Creating classes within the Educator Center simplifies the management of summer school participants. It provides streamlined access for monitoring student progress and generating reports, facilitating efficient oversight of your summer school program.
Leveraging Clever for rostering provides you multiple options for class creation to support your summer school monitoring and reporting needs. You can modify schedules within your current Clever-managed class configurations or use the Clever dashboard to create custom sections. Additionally, you can manually create classes directly in the Educator Center for a more customizable approach to summer school student management.
Note: If you choose to manually add classes into the Educator Center for your Clever-managed program, please reach out to Age of Learning Customer Care first so our team can activate that functionality for you in the platform. |
Important Considerations:
- When setting up classes for summer school via your district’s Clever sync, it’s important to note the scheduled dates for your district’s annual Clever pause to begin and end, as this typically occurs over the summer. During this pause, Clever will not transmit any updates or modifications to the Age of Learning platform. Ensure all necessary changes are finalized before the Clever sync is paused.
- Whether creating custom sections within Clever or manually creating classes in the Educator Center, ensure that all classes are named in a way that distinguishes them from classes in the regular school year (e.g., Summer 2024 – Teacher Last Name – Grade).
- If classes are manually created directly in the Educator Center, identify someone to manage the removal of the summer classes once summer school is over and all reporting needs are complete.
Note: We advise you to create summer school classes within the existing school framework in the Educator Center, rather than adding new schools for summer students. This approach helps ensure that students retain access to their primary school’s licenses during the summer school period. |
