How do I assign licenses to students?

Assigning a license to a student grants complete access to the Age of Learning program associated with the license, such as My Math Academy, My Reading Academy, or My Reading Academy Español.

Teachers do not get licenses assigned to them, but they need to have students with valid licenses assigned to their class in order to access the programs. Admins don't get licenses assigned to them either and only get access to the Educator Center, not the other programs.

Top-level Administrators can assign licenses to students by following the steps outlined below. These Admins can also distribute licenses to other Admins and Teachers to allow them to help with the assignment of licenses. Once licenses have been given to lower levels of the organization, School Admins and Teachers can assign licenses to Students, too. Teachers should contact their program administrator if they need licenses distributed to them.

Assigning Licenses to Multiple Students

1. Log in to your Educator Center account.
   
   
   
   
2. From the main menu, click on Accounts at the top of your screen. 
   
   
   
   
3. Use the drop-down menu to select Manage.
   
   
   
   
4. Click Students. 
   
   
   
   
5. Click the checkbox next to the name of each student you’d like to license. You can click the very top checkbox to select all students.
   
   
   
   
6. Click the Bulk Action drop-down menu on the right side of the page. 
   
   
   
   
7. Click Assign Licenses from the drop-down list.
   
   
   
8. Choose the product license or licenses available. Note: If no licenses are listed to assign, it is likely they have not yet been distributed to your site. We recommend contacting your organization’s Age of Learning administrator for additional assistance. 
   
   
   
   
9. Click Assign Licenses.
   
   

Assigning Licenses to a Single Student

You can assign a single student a license using the Bulk Actions method described above, but some Teachers like to do it from the Student Info page to review other student information at the same time. 

1. Log in to your Educator Center account.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Accounts at the top of your screen, select Manage from the drop-down, then Students.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on the name of the student you’d like to license.
   
   
   
   
4. On the Student Info page, scroll down to the Products section at the bottom and click +Assign Licenses.
   
   
   
   
5. A new window will pop up, where you will click the Select radio button for any product license that is available. This Student in our demo account already had My Math Academy, so we are clicking to give her a My Reading Academy license, as well. Then click the blue Assign Licenses button at the bottom.
   
   
   
   
6. You should now see the license you added for this Student. If you don’t see it, you may need to refresh the page.
