Here are the most frequent issues schools experience when using Clever with My Math Academy, My Reading Academy, or My Reading Academy Español, plus recommended resolutions.
1. Missing Teachers or Students
Cause:
The school or users have not been shared with Age of Learning via Clever.
Fix:
In the Clever dashboard, check your sharing rules. Make sure all relevant:
Schools
Students
Teachers
Classes
...are shared with Age of Learning.
2. Teacher Sees “No Students” in Educator Center
Cause:
The class exists, but student relationships are not included in the Clever share.
Fix:
Ensure student–class associations are active in your SIS and are included in what Clever shares with us.
3. Students Can’t Log In or Get “User Not Found” Errors
Cause:
The student hasn’t been included in the Clever sync, or their Clever ID does not match what was used previously.
Fix:
Confirm the student is part of the shared data set.
If the student has changed schools, ensure their new class is also shared.
If student progress has reset, contact support to request a data merge.
4. Class or Student Data Appears Duplicated
Cause:
Multiple versions of the same class are created due to naming changes in the SIS (e.g., “Math 2023” vs. “Math 2024”).
Fix:
Standardize class names in the SIS to reduce duplication. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to assist in cleanup if needed.
5. Student Progress Missing
Cause:
A different or new Clever Roster ID was assigned, so the system sees the student as “new.”
Fix:
Maintain consistent Roster IDs across school years. If a change is unavoidable, contact Support for help in recovering progress.
