Research shows that consistent program usage leads to positive learning outcomes. To maximize benefits:
- Children should complete at least 60 minutes of My Math Academy activities per week and 45 minutes for My Reading Academy.
- Sustained sessions are more effective than fragmented ones. Ideally, children should complete:
- Four 15-minute sessions per week for Math
- Three 15-minute sessions per week for Reading
There are three simple ways to track your child's daily 15-minute program usage:
Caregiver Center Usage Goal Tracker
The simplest way for parents and caregivers to track program usage and check if daily and weekly goals are met is by logging into the Caregiver Center. Here's how:
-
Visit the Caregiver Center login page at educate.aofl.com and log in with your email and password (the credentials you used to activate your account).
- The main area of the Caregiver Center displays usage data.
- Select the program you want to check (My Math Academy is displayed by default; click My Reading Academy to switch).
- The chart below the program names shows weekly usage in 15-minute increments (the daily goal). The chart also indicates whether your child is Not On Track, On-Track, or has Met Goal for the week.
- To track daily usage, log in before your child starts a session, note the current total, and check again afterward to confirm they reached the 15-minute goal
Pro Tip: If you've had the Caregiver Center page open for a while, refresh your browser so it will pull in the latest usage data.
Daily Tracking with the Programs’ Progress Bar
Each program includes a real-time progress bar/activity meter, allowing students (and parents) to track their progress toward the 15-minute daily goal.
- When your child logs in to My Math Academy or My Reading Academy, the progress bar displays their engagement time for the day.
- The bar fills as your child progresses, making it easy to see how much time remains.
Here’s an example of the progress bar in My Reading Academy, showing the child has completed about three-quarters of their daily goal:
When the daily 15-minute goal is reached, the bar will be full, and a trophy icon will appear, as shown in this My Math Academy screenshot:
The progress bar resets every 24 hours, so you can check the same day to see if the bar is full. If your child closes the program, log back in to view their progress.
Dance Parties Celebrate Completion of 15-Minute Daily Session
When your child completes a 15-minute session, they are rewarded with a fun dance party to celebrate their achievement!
- The dance party activates automatically—there’s nothing you or your child needs to do.
- If you don’t see or hear the celebration, ask your child if they experienced a dance party that day.
Here are two examples of dance parties:
