New for the 2024 – 2025 school year, our Educator Center's Usage Dashboards for Teachers and Administrators now includes a breakdown of student program usage in three categories based on time and location: At School, After School, and At Home.
Usage tracked in any of these categories counts the same towards students’ weekly usage goals—so remember to encourage afterschool and at-home usage.
The new categories of usage are defined by these time- and day-based rules:
- At School weekdays is between 8 a.m.– 3 p.m. (your local time*).
- After School weekdays between 3 p.m.– 5 p.m. (your local time*).
- At Home is after 5 p.m. (your local time*) on weekdays and anytime on weekends until 8 a.m. the following Monday, as well as holidays.
* Your local time is the default time zone selected for your organization when it was rostered.
Regardless of how much time is tracked in each category, the bar chart will show At School (dark purple) on the bottom, After School (light purple) in the middle, and At Home (white with purple outline) on top. It will look like this:
You will see these Usage categories on the By Week and By Month dashboard views; the view for This Week displays a breakdown of Usage per day for each student during the current week rather than these categories.
Note: If you forget how each category is defined, click the (i) icon to the right of the categories to see those definitions.
