While we believe in making learning engaging and fun for our students, we also want to ensure that our programs are effective. To that end, both My Math Academy and My Reading Academy include progress bars/activity meters set to a 15-minute usage goal for each session to encourage students to focus on developing their reading skills for a sustained period.
With just three 15-minute sessions, your students will reach their 45-minute weekly goal for My Reading Academy on your Educator Center Usage Dashboard. Keep in mind, the 15-minute daily goal and 45-minute weekly goal are not limits. If you are able to implement four or five sessions with My Reading Academy in a week, you are likely to see even greater learning gains. The following screenshot shows the progress bar for My Reading Academy getting close to the 15-min daily goal.
Activity Meter: Encouraging Sustained Learning
The activity meters in My Reading Academy or My Math Academy allows students to monitor their progress towards the 15-minute daily goal. The meter tracks the time students spend engaging in learning activities. It's important to note that the Activity Meter measures time spent on activities, not the number of activities completed. The following screenshot shows the activity meter filled on My Math Academy.
