My Math Academy, My Reading Academy, and My Reading Academy Español are adaptive programs that assess a student’s current level of understanding and select an appropriate starting point for their learning.
As students engage with the program, it dynamically adjusts their path within, after, and across learning activities. This multi-layered personalization, happening throughout each session, provides dynamic scaffolding and feedback to drive efficient, durable growth in standards mastery.
The program will determine:
- Skills a student has already mastered.
- Skills a student has some proficiency in but hasn’t yet mastered.
- Skills a student has not yet learned but is ready to learn.
After the initial in-game placement activities, My Math Academy, My Reading Academy, and My Reading Academy Español will continuously assess each student’s proficiency and adapt, as needed, to ensure they are at the just-right level off difficulty to ensure progress towards mastery on their own unique learning path.
Students will proceed at their own pace based on their ability to demonstrate mastery within the system. There is sometimes an adjustment period in the beginning where students may think the activities are too hard or to easy, but the programs will adjust to a "just-right" level for each student.
There is no need for teacher intervention or teacher assignments within the programs.
