This method of rostering is best for districts that have previously integrated with a ClassLink for rostering, managing student information, and program access.
If your organization has some users who are not in your student information system (SIS) but need access, you may upload them separately through our CSV uploading process or OneRoster.
When rostering with ClassLink, make sure that you add the AofL Educator Center app, along with any other Age of Learning apps you are licensing. The AofL Educator Center app is required and rostering will fail without it added.
Note: While we fully support launching your Age of Learning programs from the ClassLink Launchpad, our applications are not currently supported when running within the Launchpad window itself. To avoid performance issues and ensure the best experience, make sure ClassLink is set up to log students into our programs within a web browser, such as Chrome or Safari.
Rostering with ClassLink
- Go to https://wwww.classlink.com and log in to your Launchpad. Then open the hamburger menu on the top left and select Management Console.
- Click Roster Server in the left-side navigation select Manage. If it prompts you to sign to the Roster Server, simply click Login.
- In the top navigation bar of the Roster Server, select the All Applications tab from the drop-down menu.
- Click the +Add App button.
- Search for "Age of Learning" in the Company Name search box. Click the +Add button for the AofL Educator Center app, which is required for rostering in ClassLink.*
Then click the +Add button for each of the program(s) your organization is licensing: My Math Academy, My Reading Academy, and/or ABCmouse).
*Required: Make sure that you click the +Add button for AofL Educator Center to enable the required rostering in our Educator Center.
-
Set your permissions for AofL Education Center and any other apps you add. We suggest using the same permissions for all Age of Learning apps.
Select Full Permissions to include all users in the Roster server (teachers and students) or Rule-Based Permissions to include only users you specify. Full Permissions is the simplest choice, but Rule-Based Permissions gives you greater control of your Roster data if you are comfortable setting ClassLink permissions. We recommend that all the apps you add have the same permissions as the AofL Education Center app.
-
Once permissions have been set, click the Return to Apps button, or select Apps > All Applications from the menu at the top of the page as shown in step 3 above.
- Toggle the switch under the Enabled column for the app. Once the individual apps have been enabled, they will now be visible for all licensed users in their ClassLink Launchpad portal. (Users who do not have a license will encounter an error when attempting to log in.)
Note: You can enable applications at any time, but doing so prior to the completion of the rostering and licensing processes may result in unlicensed users receiving an error when attempting to access their new applications.
Once you complete the steps outlined above, Age of Learning will receive a notification to finish the setup with ClassLink. At that time, an agent will contact you regarding any additional information needed and to verify the sync process was initiated successfully.
