The system will notify you that the email address you're attempting to use is already linked to an existing account, which you might no longer use or may have reserved for personal family matters. This situation can be particularly frustrating when your school mandates the use of your official district-issued account.
When faced with an email address conflict, the system typically offers two solutions:
Option 1: Removing the conflicting account and only use your district issued account
This option allows you to remove the conflicting account associated with the email address you're trying to use. Follow these steps to proceed:
- Click on the Remove Conflicting Account button.
- Confirm your decision to remove the conflicting account.
By following these steps, your conflicting account will be deleted; enabling you to access school resources using your district-issued account seamlessly.
Option 2: Provide a new email address and continue using the existing account separately
In some instances, you might prefer using a different email address to access the educational platform while preserving your existing account. This approach is particularly beneficial if your current account contains valuable data. Here's how to go about it:
- Enter your new email address in the specified field.
- Verify your existing account password in the second empty field.
- Click on the Update Conflicting Account button.
