The ELC of Hillsborough has partnered with Age of Learning on important, ongoing early learning initiatives for the families they serve.
Families are sent a free Samsung Galaxy A9 Tablet in a Tech Kit and an activation email for one free Age of Learning account. This account will provide at-home access to our My Math Academy and My Reading Academy programs and our Caregiver Center to help track your child’s learning progress.
This FAQ page should answer any questions you may have, but if you need immediate assistance with your account, you can email us at rostering@aofl.com.

The ELC of Hillsborough is managing the enrollment of the program and shipment of devices. If you are interested in receiving a Tech Kit with a free Samsung Galaxy A9 Tablet for your child, you can reach out via email to support@elchc.org. The ELC will look into your request, but keep in mind that supplies are limited, so not all requests will be granted.
I need to track the shipping status of my Galaxy Tablet order

I need technical support for the tablet
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Tablets for this program are being managed by our hardware provider, Stratix, who will provide any needed technical support.

I want to request a second Galaxy Tablet for a second child
If you would like to request another free Samsung Galaxy A9 Tablet for a second child, you can reach out via email to support@elchc.org, and the ELC will look into your request. Keep in mind that supplies are limited, so not all requests will be granted.
I want to install other programs on the tablet but the app store is locked
At this time, you will not be able to download and install additional programs from the app store on these Samsung Galaxy A9 Tablets. The tablets have been set up only to provide access to Age of Learning’s educational programs, specifically My Math Academy and My Reading Academy. Any current ABCmouse subscribers can also access their ABCmouse account from their tablet. Other uses have been restricted and the app store has been locked.
We want to use the Galaxy Tablet for other games or Internet access
At this time, these Samsung Galaxy A9 Tablet have been set up only to provide access to Age of Learning’s educational programs, specifically My Math Academy and My Reading Academy. Any current ABCmouse subscribers can also access their ABCmouse account from their tablet. Other uses have been restricted.
I don’t know what the ABCmouse shortcut on our tablet is for
The ABCmouse shortcut on your Tablet is there only to help any current ABCmouse users access their account from their Tablet. ABCmouse access is NOT part of this ELC of Hillsborough program, and the shortcut will not work unless you have a separate subscription. Existing subscribers can log in with their current ABCmouse login information.
If you decide you would like to try ABCmouse, you can start a free trial and subscribe to the program here. Participation in this ELC of Hillsborough program does not require ABCmouse. The Age of Learning programs that are activated by this Hillsborough initiative are My Math Academy and My Reading Academy.

If you have a Tech Kit with the Samsung Galaxy A9 Tablet but haven’t received an account activation email (or you need us to resend your account activation email), you can email Age of Learning Customer Care, and we will verify your child’s account status and send you an account activation email within approximately 24 hours.

The account activation didn’t work
If you have your Age of Learning account activation email and have followed the instructions on our Getting Started Guide but encounter an error, it may be that your child does not yet have an active account in the Age of Learning platform.
If you are not sure if your child has an active account, you can email Age of Learning Customer Care, and we will verify your child’s account status and send you an account activation email within approximately 24 hours.

I need to redeem an access code
If you received your account activation email, you can activate your account by clicking the Activate your account link within the email. If you no longer have the email but do have an Activation Code, you can enter it on one of these pages:

If you don’t remember the password you used when activating your account, you can submit a Password Reset request here.
If your account is not active and you need an activation email sent to you, the Password Reset will not work for you. You should instead email us, including the information we asked for above.

The My Math Academy program will not open
We have received a few reports from families who were successfully able to use My Reading Academy but were not able to get My Math Academy to load on their Samsung Galaxy A9 Tablet. Clicking the My Math Academy icon did not open the program as it should have.
We are actively working to isolate the issue and offer a solution. We will update this FAQ once we have additional information or a fix to report.

Our QR code isn't letting us log in
Families in accessing Age of Learning programs on Tablets provided by the ELC of Hillsborough should not be using QR codes to access our My Math Academy and My Reading Academy programs.
There was a QR code that was included in each Tech Kit, but that QR code is not for logging in to any of our programs. That QR code will only connect you to the ELC of Hillsborough Getting Started resources on our Help Center. Hillsborough families do not need a QR code to log in to our programs. You will log in with the email address and password you created when activating your Age of Learning account.

I want to add a second child to our account
You cannot add a second child to an existing account. Each child who is approved by the ELC of Hillsborough gets a unique account activation email that applies to that child only. If you have a second child who may also benefit from this initiative, you can try reaching out to the ELC of Hillsborough via email to support@elchc.org to request a Tablet and account for that child. The ELC will look into your request, but keep in mind that supplies are limited, so not all requests will be granted.
I am a Teacher and would like an account
At this time, the ELC of Hillsborough is offering this special program to families only, not Teachers. Teachers with children who qualify can sign up for the program but they would be using it as a Parent, not a Teacher, and would not have access to the Educator Center.
I want to know how long our family can use this Hillsborough program
The ELC of Hillsborough is scheduled to run this program until June 30, 2025. At that time, the ELC will notify users regarding the next steps for the devices.
I want to know how to opt out of this Hillsborough program
The ELC of Hillsborough is managing the enrollment of the program. If you would like to opt out, please reach out via email to support@elchc.org.
