What devices should I use with ABCmouse?

ABCmouse works well in homes and classrooms using a wide range of devices. As long as it meets the Minimum System Requirements listed below, you should feel confident using the device that works best for your individual needs. 

Minimum System Requirements

Apple Tablet/Phone:

• iOS Version: 15.2 and up
• Minimum Device: iPad Air, iPhone 6S
• Memory (RAM): 2 GB
• Storage: 16 GB

Android Tablet/Phone:

• Android Version: 9.0 and up
• Minimum Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, Samsung Exynos 9609, MediaTek HelloX30, HiSilicon Kirin 970
• Memory (RAM): 3 GB
• Storage: 16 GB
• Google Play Store Certified

Amazon Kindle:

• Minimum Device: Kindle Fire HD 8 and HD 10 (8th Gen)

Chromebook:

• Minimum Device: Web only product access 1 GHz 2-core from 2017 or after (e.g., Acer Chromebook 11 Series)
• Google Play Store Certified

Desktop/Laptop:

• Operating System:PC - Windows 10, Apple - Mojave 10.10
• Minimum Processor: Intel 3rd Gen Quad Cores, AMD FZ and Operton Quad Cores, Mac Mid 2012 i5-33I7U
• Memory (RAM): 8 GB DDR3
• Storage: 10 GB

Power Requirements:

• Mobile: Consistent electricity for full recharging as needed
• Desktop: Consistent electricity required during school hours

Firewall/Filter/Whitelist Requirements:

The following web and email domains should be added to your “whitelist” for firewalls, content filters, or any other filters that may prevent access to the product:

Additional Notes

In addition to the minimum system requirements listed above, we do not officially support touchscreen Windows devices. This includes:

• Touchscreen laptops
• Touchscreen desktops
• 2-in-1 laptop tablet combo devices
• Windows tablet devices

While these devices are capable of running ABCmouse, they may encounter various technical issues we are unable to resolve at the moment. If you are using a Windows touchscreen device and encounter an issue with the touchscreen component, you might want to try to use a mouse and/ or trackpad instead.
