Archiving and deleting a user—a school, class, teacher, or student—are two very different actions in the Educator Center.
- Archiving: When you archive any user, that account is simply moved to the Archived section (like putting it in storage), where you can still access their records from your account.
- Deleting: Deleted users are permanently removed from your account. Deleting cannot be undone.
Check Educator Center User Status
- In the Educator Center, click on Accounts, then Manage, and then select either Schools, Classes, Teachers, or Students.
- This will take you to the management page where you can see if the School, Class, Teacher, or Student has a current status of Active or Archived. The default view will be Active and show you all the active users.
The following screenshot shows the Active Students page. Click Archived Students to see who has been archived.
- The Archived tab for any user type shows only archived users. You will not see users who have been deleted. On the Archived Students page you can click on any student name if you want to either Restore them to Active status or Delete them permanently from the system.
- From this pop-up, you can use the buttons at the bottom to either Restore or Delete the user.
What Each Status Means:
- Active: Schools, Classes, Teachers, and Students with an Active status can access our programs based on their license and redemption status.
- Archived: Schools, Classes, Teachers, and Students who have been Archived no longer have access to our programs but can be restored by an administrator. Once restored, they will continue to have their previous product history and redemption status.
- Deleted: You will not see these users, because they have been fully removed from the Educator Center and can no longer be restored by administrators. If the user is re-added with their email or ID, they will be treated as a new user.
