What is happening and why?
My Math Academy has built a brand-new app and web-based version to provide you and your students the best experience possible. As a result, you will need to start using the new web-based version or download and install the new My Math Academy app prior to the start of your school year 2023-2024. This includes working with Age of Learning to migrate to the new experience in your specified window.
Does this migration impact me and my school/district?
If your students currently use My Math Academy, you will need to migrate to the new web-based version of My Math Academy or to an updated version of the app (available July 17th).
When will we need to migrate?
You will need to migrate to the web-based version or new My Math Academy app in time for back-to-school Fall 2023. This date will be different for each school or district and will be selected by your rostering or tech lead. When you choose your migration date, please factor in time to update your rosters, licensing, classes, etc.
What do I do if I use Clever or ClassLink?
If you will be using the web-based version of either My Math Academy or My Reading Academy you will not need to do anything aside from ensuring your roster data is shared and updated ahead of the new school year and unfreeze your data sharing.
If you are using the app-based version of My Math Academy, you will need to download and install the new application on all devices prior to the start of school and before students begin using My Math Academy for the school year.
What if I have a specific date required for the migration?
Please reach out to your customer success manager to discuss your needs. We are happy to work with you to migrate when it works best for your school or district. You can always reach out to our support team for additional information or to have specific questions answered.
How does this impact My Reading Academy?
My Reading Academy will not require migration to a new app. However, we encourage you to move to using the browser-based version of My Reading Academy if it makes sense for your school/district based on your devices.
Will the web-based version work for all devices?
We are launching web access for back-to-school 2023 and encourage schools/districts to migrate to the web platform. However, if your school/district uses iOS-based devices we recommend using the app-based version of MMA and MRA to ensure the best user experience possible.
What do I need to do if I am migrating to the web-based version of My Math Academy and My Reading Academy?
You will need to white-list our websites, communicate the new login URL to educators, and plan for how the new login URL may be saved on each device.
What do I do after I receive confirmation of my school or districts migration?
After your migration date and having received confirmation of your migration you will proceed with your regular Roster Management and Product Licensing.
Will educators use the same login information as the previous year?
Yes. Educators will be prompted to login to educator center to reauthenticate their credentials.
Will families need to do anything?
If families are using the app-based version of MMA they will need to download the new version of MMA after you migration date. Then they will use their previous login credentials to reauthenticate their login and access MMA.
Will students retake their Placement Tests?
Yes. All students who are returning to My Math Academy and/or My Reading Academy will take new placement tests. This enables current and accurate placement into the program and ensures the most personalized learning possible.
